Schweerbau Logistik GmbH
– over 20 years of experience in rail-based construction site logistics –
History
Since our foundation as LDS GmbH in 2001, we have specialised in the logistics of track construction sites. Our fleet of high-performance vehicles and a highly experienced team have been the fundamental basis of our work from the very start. The early cooperation between LDS GmbH and Schweerbau GmbH & Co. KG grew into an economically significant partnership and LDS established itself as the most important railway service provider for Schweerbau.
As a strategic and logical consequence, in 2018 the headquarters of LDS GmbH were moved from Eutin to Stadthagen, the headquarters of Schweerbau GmbH & Co. KG.
At the beginning of 2020, the company was renamed Schweerbau Logistik GmbH.
The portfolio grows with locomotives
The fleet has been continuously modernised and expanded over the years. Today, Schweerbau Logistik GmbH operates 12 locomotives in all performance classes. One of the highlights is the 59-series two-power locomotive, which has been in operation since early 2022. The investment in locomotives and modern technology has also expanded our range of services. And so, our portfolio also includes transport services with bulk goods as well as construction site logistics and coordination, work train services, ad hoc trips and traction and shunting services.
A workplace with a future
We look back proudly on 20 years of progress and experience and just as joyfully into the future and new challenges. With that in mind, we are always looking for colleagues to strengthen our team. We currently employ about 40 people, including work train drivers, shunting drivers, locomotive drivers, wagon technicians, and dispatchers.
In addition, we train railway workers in operational service in-house and work together with certified training institutions, so that also career changers have the chance for a secure job with prospects.
